New bat rules for 2011
As you may know, baseball bat rules have changed for 2011. The following is a quick summary for your review. Please be aware of these changes before you buy a bat for the 2011 season. All bats in our catalog and on our website are marked if they meet the new specifications.
College College bats must be stamped BBCOR certified. Any bat with a BESR stamp is not legal for 2011. Complete rule details Approved College bats High School All aluminum BESR stamped bats are legal for 2011. Composite bats that are BESR certified are legal for 2011 ONLY if they meet the accelerated break-in (ABI) requirements. All BBCOR stamped bats are legal for 2011. After 2011 ONLY BBCOR certified bats will be legal. Little League (ages 12 & under) Little League has placed a moratorium on composite barrel bats for the 2011 season, effective immediately. However the 1.15 BPF rule is still in place for all aluminum barrel bats.
