The magnetic baseball/softball double first base features a break-free safety design that disengages from its anchor when hit with enough force from a slide. The white/orange base design prevents players from colliding. The white half of the base lays in fair territory for use by the first baseman. The orange half of the base lays in foul territory to provide a safe path for the baserunner. The orange base features a low profile design for added runner safety. The white base is equipped with a steel stanchion pan underneath that attaches to the included magnetic anchor fixture. The double first base breaks free from the magnetic anchor upon heavy impact. The double first base cover has a ribbed surface that keeps cleats from slipping on the bag, letting players round the base with confidence. The double first base design also makes it easier for umpires and coaches to identify when players make it safely to first base.
