The AAI Softy gymnastics skill cushion is a softer version of the standard skill pillow, intended for use on the uneven bars and vault training. The more forgiving foam is also aided by nylon mesh side panels which allow air to exit the mat quickly upon landing. The mat is topped with a soft, stretchy denim-like matieral, and features reinforced handles and a vinyl base for ease of movement about the gym. The soft surface and cushioning foam is excellent for training dismounts, firming up the surface of a pit, or just providing an extra layer of confidence below a gymnast. The Softy Skill Pillow is approved for USAG competition as an alternative to a 4'x6' skill mat.
