The 1-1/2" diameter manila rope from AAI is finished in a sailor's knot and a leather seat, providing a traditional look and a substantial foothold for beginning climbers. The knot helps provide some stability and makes climbing less intimidating for novices. The standard length of 24' provides plenty of climbing room, and comes ready made with a steel top-clamp for securing to ceiling anchors (not included, see below). At 18 lbs, the durable manila rope is an excellent strength training tool as well.
