The Beacon adjustable weight nail drag mat is designed to give you the right drag depth every time thanks to the included set of 6 rubber field weights. The field weights weigh 7 lbs each and are equipped with built-in carry handles that make it easy for mounting onto the weight posts atop the nail drag's aluminum frame. Simply add or remove field weights to set the perfect nail depth for dragging your infield. The 6' wide drag system features multiple rows of 4" steel nails that are built to loosen the infield dirt for eventual smoothing with a floating drag mat. The unit includes rear clips to add a floating drag like the steel drag mat or the cocoa drag mat (sold separately below). It is recommended to drag in a cross-cutting pattern to keep the infield smooth and avoid an uneven surface that can develop by dragging in just one direction. Generally, using the nail drag to loosen a depth of 1/4" to 1/2" of dirt/soil is recommended. With the Beacon adjustable weight nail drag, you're in full control to get the weight just right for infield grooming perfection.
