NOCSAE & NFHS Stamped Baseballs

Effective January 1, 2020, baseballs approved for high school competition must be stamped with both SEI/NOCSAE and NFHS authenticating marks.

The purpose of the Authenticating Mark Program is to ensure that equipment conforms to NFHS (National Federation of State High School Associations) rules and requirements for contests played under the NFHS rules. This program helps to promote a level playing field by assuring consistency in the equipment being used in NFHS sanctioned interscholastic competition.

The NOCSAE Baseball Standard (no. ND027) establishes performance requirements in the weight, compression deflection load, circumference, and coefficient of restitution for new baseballs as supplied by manufacturers.
