Rogers 15" BreakAway Double First Base Top

This Rogers double first base top is compatible with both the Change Up and Original BreakAway base systems and is designed to convert a standard first base with a single stanchion into a double first base, without requiring the installation of a double anchor. Replacing a single first base with this double first base option helps reduce collisions by providing separate bases for the runner and fielder while also allowing the base to break away from the base plate when hit with enough force during a slide. Constructed from a single piece of high-quality molded rubber, the durable base top features a white portion that attaches to the existing Rogers base plate and a colored portion stabilized with an internal waffle structure and rubber tacks that grip the field surface. This unique setup eliminates the need for a dedicated double anchor while maintaining the BreakAway function of the existing system. After breaking away from sideways pressure, the base quickly resets for minimal interruption to play. Base plate, anchor, and Rogers Original or Change-Up BreakAway systems are sold separately.
