The Gared 6600 Scholastic rear mount breakaway goal is a heavy-duty rim suitable for playground use. This rim is a great replacement for older-style fan backboards with a rear-mounted rim. The breakaway mechanism lets the rim deflect under the weight of a dunking player, and returns to the proper position once released. A regulation size single rim with heavy steel brace and continuous no-tie netrings provide optimal rim strength. The Gared 6600 Scholastic Rear Mount Breakaway Goal is powder-coated to protect from environmental elements and includes a nylon net and mounting hardware.
