The Porter backboard electric winch is designed to hold the backstop at any position when raising or lowering. This winch is available with 3/4 horsepower and 1 horsepower, for additional speed and torque for heavier backboards. The winch was made for safety and features a heavy gauge, painted steel frame, and a 4" OD aluminum cable drum. This winch system has an external belt tensioner, for easy maintenance and adjustment, and a cable tensioner to keep the cable in place during slack conditions. The cable drum can fit 41 feet of cable in a single layer and has a top speed of 14.3 feet per minute. The Porter replacement winch does not include a key switch, or a control system and must be purchased separately. This winch system must be installed by a trained professional.
