The Porter heavy-duty 6" square single post basketball hoop is built to withstand the toughest play conditions outdoors. Constructed from 1/4" thick steel, this 6" square upright sits back a full 5' from the backboard providing an excellent safe play zone. The steel backboard is perforated to mitigate wind damage and galvanized to prevent rust. The double-rim goal is constructed from solid cold-rolled steel with an orange powder-coated finish and a galvanized steel net for long-term outdoor durability. The goal is direct-mounted and reinforced with side plates and a central steel gusset to withstand high-impact play. This heavy-duty outdoor basketball hoop is also available as a back-to-back system for adjoining courts, see below.
