First Team 42”x72” Competitor Conversion Glass Basketball Backboard, Rim & Padding Upgrade Package

Upgrade your indoor basketball facility with the Competitor backboard package from First Team. This package includes a 42” x 72” conversion glass backboard, a breakaway action rim, and TuffGuard padding available in 16 different colors. Equipped with an aluminum frame, 1/2” thick cushioned tempered glass, and a heavy duty rim support in the back, this backboard is virtually unbreakable against players that dunk or hang on the rim. The tempered glass is notched out in the rim mounting area, eliminating goal-to-glass stress. This backboard meets all NCAA and high school specifications and has a regulation white border with shooters square. The included premium breakaway goal can be adjusted to anywhere between 170-230 lbs., and is equipped with the most durable positive lock mechanism available on the market. The TuffGuard edge padding is made with 2 molded urethane segments and a steel insert and meets NCAA, FIBA, and NFHS standards. Superior to glue-on, vinyl-dipped, or other safety pads, TuffGuard simply bolts onto the backboard with the perforated holes and included mounting hardware for permanent protection that stays in place. The contoured shape around the sides and molded-in goal relief reduces ball interference and has a notch for the bottom edge of the rim created by the steel pin connection at the center joint.
