The Rae Crowther sling ball is an affordable football training aid designed to help players master the wrap-up and roll tackling technique. This approach helps eliminate head contact in tackling, promoting safety of players. The innovative sling ball is a large 36" diameter physio ball, covered in vinyl and foam, and weighing 10lbs. The Sling Ball connects to a 12' high-density stretch tube, which is attached to a 50lb base made without any metal, ensuring player safety in case of contact. The base requires no set-up and is ready for immediate use. To use the sling ball, the coach holds it by the handle and walks away from the base, stretching the tube up to 25'. When released, the ball shoots toward the player like a slingshot, with the speed depending on how far the cord is stretched.
