The Gill soft dacron climbing rope with vinyl boot end is ideal for elementary physical education programs due to the softer rope material. Available in 4 lengths: 12’, 16’, 20’, and 24’, this dacron rope is made out of synthetic fiber ribbon poly, which ultimately wears better than cotton and will not cause allergic reactions commonly seen with treated ropes. On the bottom of the rope, there is 9” long heat-shrink PVC tubing coated with a heavy vinyl coating for maximum durability. The top end is securely clamped in a cast ductile iron clamp for anchoring. The rope also includes a shackle attached to the top clamp and 5' of chain. The chain helps position the rope at the correct height by adjusting the location of the repair link that is in the chain. This climbing rope has a weight capacity of 700 pounds. Please note: The weight capacity for the whole unit depends on the installation method. It is recommended that you consult with an architect or structural engineer to verify the load capacity of the structure before attaching the climbing rope.
