This Putterman Tournament tennis net is built to withstand the demands of competitive play featuring a durable 3mm braided polyethylene rope construction and 1.5" square mesh offering excellent tension and playability. This 3mm tennis net includes built-in grommets along the sideband, headband, and bottom band to ensure long-lasting support and easy installation. The 2.5" white vinyl headband is double-layered, folded, and tucked for added strength and a clean finish, while the sidebands and bottom band are made of heavy-duty 2.5" black vinyl. Treated with UV and mildew inhibitors, the headband of this tennis net is built to resist weathering and fading. Two hollow fiberglass rods in the sidebands keep the net taut and upright. A 46' long, 5mm steel cable with a tensile strength of 3,600lbs runs through the headband for superior stability. The included net strap, made with heavy-duty polyester webbing and nickel-plated slide buckles, helps maintain center height. A tapered option is also available, measuring 42"H at the posts and 36"H at the center. This design minimizes rubbing against the court surface, reducing wear and tear on the bottom of the net and eliminating bunching that can occur with a standard net.
