The Wilson Pro Staff 97 Classic tennis racket is an updated take on Wilson's premier competitive tennis racket, popularized by Roger Federer. The racket is optimized for precise control over the ball with several Wilson-exclusive technologies. The shaft gains extra flexibility with Paradigm Bending, a carbon fiber construction technique. The frame's graphite and aramid fibers (better known as Kevlar) are woven at a 45 degree angle in Wilson's "Braid 45" technology, which enhances pocketing and increases dwell time on the strings. The String Mapping technology means the strings are specially strung in a tighter central pattern, further increasing precision and control. The classic look features a black matte finish with red and yellow accents, recalling the original racket from 1983.
