The FT16 ground sleeve is designed to allow your First Team basketball hoop post to be installed/removed from the ground without the need to cement the actual post into the ground footing. The inside opening of the sleeve is just over 4-1/2" square, making it large enough to accommodate posts 4-1/2" sq. or smaller. The FT16 ground sleeve can also be used to secure the posts for First Team's Blast outdoor volleyball systems on sand or grass courts. This sleeve is designed to be buried 36” below the playing surface leaving 6" above the surface for access to the 8 tensioning bolts at the top of the sleeve. The 8 tension bolts allow you to tighten the fit around the post in four directions to ensure a level post every time. See “Additional Info” tab for installation instructions and drawing.
