The Beacon 2-in-1 nail drag mat combo is a one-pass infield grooming system that features two detachable nail drag panels for scarifying the soil and an attached finishing drag mat to smoothen the soil. The finishing drag mat is offered in your choice of either a steel drag mat or a cocoa drag mat. The steel drag mat is made with flexible 1" steel mesh with a 3’8″ thick galvanized steel ribbon that is perfect for breaking up soil chunks and providing a smooth playing surface. The cocoa drag mat is made with 1" thick natural cocoa fibers that virtually float across your infield without displacing much soil or topdressing for a professional look. The durable aluminum nail drag frame is equipped with rows of 3" nails that are built to break up/smooth out tough infield dirt clumps. The nail drag frame features two detachable drag panels; detach the rear panel for daily, light dragging, or go with the fully attached unit to scarify and restore infields with heavily compacted soil. It is recommended to drag in a cross-cutting pattern to keep the infield smooth and avoid an uneven surface that can develop by dragging in just one direction. Generally, using the nail drag to loosen a depth of 1/4" to 1/2" of dirt/soil is recommended. The 2-in-1 nail drag includes a pair of wheels that make the unit easy to transport to/from the field and easy to store. The wheels are detachable via an easy-to-use pin system.
