Champion 15" Breakaway Safety Bases & Double First Base Set

The Champion breakaway safety base set is designed to reduce the potential for sliding injuries. The set includes two 15"x15"x3" breakaway bases and one 30"x15"x3" breakaway double first base. These durable all-rubber bases feature a breakaway base system where the top base pad breaks away from the bottom plate upon impact, protecting players from leg injuries when sliding. The base pad is engineered to maintain vertical rigidity, supporting a player standing on the base. The base pad also maximizes horizontal flexibility so that the pad will flex on impact. The base plate features a streamlined design that is low to the ground to allow the player to smoothly slide over the plate. For added safety, the double 1st base design includes a regulation-size white base for fielders and a bright orange regulation-size outside base for baserunners to reduce player collisions. This baseball/softball base set also includes rubber base posts, steel ground anchors, and rubber anchor plugs.
