The Legion JV all positions football shoulder pads offer the highest standard of chest protection without sacrificing player comfort or breaking the bank. Engineered to meet the NOCSAE commotio cordis chest protection standard, these pads add advanced cardiac impact protection, giving parents and players alike greater peace of mind on the field. Custom-blended and injection molded ABS plastic forms the rigid outer shell, dispersing impact and maintaining its shape over time. The sternum plate and highly-engineered foam construction combine to provide advanced protection from hits, offering impact absorption that increases as the hits get bigger. The foam for this pad is molded specifically for these pads, not rolled off of an industrial foam sheet. The dual foam is formed into corrugated channels, which provide strength and air-flow. The closed-cell foam absorbs less sweat than other types of foam, meaning the pads don't get heavier as the game goes on, the player stays drier, and the pads stay fresher. Front and back ventilation ports add additional air-flow through the pads, keeping players cool in the hottest weather. All joints are articulated to enhance mobility, and the premium belt and grommets ensure a long-lasting and secure fit. The pad also connects with optional back plates or rib combo pads (sold separately, see below).
