The Legion M-250 Varsity all-positions football shoulder pads are an economical, versatile cantilever pad that offers the highest standard in protection without compromising on comfort. Made from an innovative molded dual-layered foam, specifically created for shoulder pads, the M-250 meets the NOCSAE comotio cordis chest protection standard typically not met in football gear. This high level of protection is achieved through a mix of materials and design, including the corrugated underside of the pads which allow for progressive impact absorption, meaning more energy is absorbed from harder hits. Highly engineered ABS plastic provides a rigid shell that holds its shape and disperses impact loads over a bigger area. The arch design is specially formed around the AC joint to protect the shoulder through a combination of arch and epaulet geometry. All joints are articulated to maximize maneuverability for players. Ventilation ports on the front and back allow for excellent air flow, which is further aided by the corrugated foam. The foam features a closed-cell construction that resists moisture absorption, helping the M-250 Varsity pads stay lighter, drier, and fresher for longer. Removable deltoid pads customize the fit to suit the player, and the pad also connects with optional back plates or rib combo pads (sold separately, see below).
