Gared 48"x72" Scholastic Glass Basketball Backboard, Rim & Padding Package

Go big or go home with this oversized Scholastic 48" x 72" glass basketball backboard package from Gared. This package includes an older-style 48" high glass backboard with a steel frame for extra strength, a 2000+ Collegiate breakaway rim, and Pro-Mold bolt-on padding for the bottom of the backboard. To prevent shattering, the glass and steel are insulated from each other by an acrylic cushioning pad on the mounting plate and a vinyl gasket around the edge of the glass. The 2000+ Collegiate breakaway rim deflects under the weight of a dunking player, but pops back into position thanks to the positive lock mechanism and dual return springs. The rim comes with no-tie netlocks for easy installation of the included no-whip net. The package is completed with the bolt on Pro-Mold backboard padding, which is 2" thick and covers the bottom edge of the backboard to keep players safe from accidental impact.
