The Gared Standard Duty 4-1/2" gooseneck upright with rear-mount plate and brace kit delivers reinforced support for playground basketball systems and is designed for replacing posts used with rear-mount fan-shaped steel backboards. This gooseneck post features a V-brace that significantly reduces vibration on every banked shot and is built to support backboard-and-rim combinations up to 100 pounds. It offers a traditional curved design with a fixed official height and is constructed from a 4-1/2" OD x 0.18" wall galvanized steel tube with a 4' offset under the hoop. Designed for permanent outdoor use when replacing a damaged post, the upright extends at least 36" into a concrete footing to ensure long-lasting stability on high-use courts.
