The Gared Heavy Duty 5-9/16" gooseneck upright with rear-mount plate and brace kit delivers reinforced support for playground basketball systems and is designed for replacing posts used with rear-mount fan-shaped steel backboards. This gooseneck post features a V-brace that promotes rigidity and significantly reduces vibration on every banked shot, and is built to support any size backboard-and-rim combination. It offers a traditional curved design with a fixed official height and is constructed from a 5-9/16" OD heavy-wall galvanized steel tube with a generous 6' safe play offset. Designed for permanent outdoor use when replacing a damaged post, the upright extends at least 36" into a concrete footing to ensure long-lasting stability on high-use courts.
